Carrholme Cottage

Carrholme Cottage – Stackhouse, Settle

Carrholme Cottage is a Grade 2 listed cottage, originally built in the 1600s. It was once a bolt hole for Charles I, who was King of England from 1625 to 1649. Charles I was a controversial figure, and he was eventually executed during the English Civil War. The coat of arms above the dining room door is a reminder of the cottage’s royal connection.
